The iPhone 17 Series

Apple has just announced its brand new phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's updates to three known models as well as the new iPhone Air, which takes the place of the Plus. If waiting in line on release day is not your style, and you still want to grab one as soon as possible, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12th, in advance of the September 19 release date.

The iPhone 17 gets a fresh design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after a long wait (and a lot of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally features a 120Hz refresh rate.

Internally, Apple’s new A19 chip is more powerful and more efficient, especially when paired with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you'll notice a huge jump in speed and better gaming performance thanks to ProMotion.
Camera wise, you will find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) as well as a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also features an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography more detailed and also more impressive.

iPhone 17 Colours

The iPhone 17 will come in six colourways: black, white, steel gray, light blue, green and purple.

The iPhone 17 Air is set to come in four shades: black, white, light gold and sky blue.

The Pro and Pro Max models will be offered in three premium finishes: blue, orange and silver.
